HEIGE
FIRE XWEETOK
ROLE: AUTHORITY / DPS
OPENNEONEOPETS
Let’s get this out of the way first. Heige looks bald and doesn’t expel fire like a regular Fire Xweetok because she has a condition! In fact, she controls it. yes, she can somewhat control when that fire starts spewing out of her head and back. We joked it’s because she knows how to keep a cool head compared to other Fire Xweetok.

Heige has risen the corporate world to become a pretty high up there employee at Altador Cup Headquarters International. She funded the orange, custom-made Robot Xweetok housing for her hind, which can withstand temperatures up to a whopping 1500C — well above the usual temperature her flames clock in at. It’s not too often she needs it, but the option is there, and not to mention it looks cool as fuck.
Aha! A golden envelope in the guild’s inbox! Score! Rip rip rip… woah. Tenko’s jaw dropped as he read the contents of the opened envelope. It was an invitation to Altador from a VIP client, and it specifically requested Guildmaster Tenko.

Fair, fair.” Tenko was a little disappointed he was not allowed to bring another member with him, but understood the importance the letter beared. If the client was labeled as a VIP and it came from Altador, surely there must be a good reason why he was specifically requested. Job requests from Altador are quite rare, and often come from an organization or a wealthy client. So Tenko set flight to Altador.

Tenko presented his job request to the border patrol of Altador so that they could verify and ascertain Tenko’s job contract. It passed all checks, and the envelope was given back to Tenko, alongside an address to the client. One Cup Way, Altador, 0008

Wow! That’s the address to Altador Cup Headquarters! Heh, and the postal code matches with the founding year of the Altador Cup (Y8)

Tenko got buzzed into his client’s room. While waiting for the door to open, Tenko thought of who it could be. Surely, not his player crush, that stunning striker Coco Metrone. This building didn’t seem like the place the stars of the Altador Cup would visit, it was very formal and full of businesspeople.

“Hellooo!!~” the Darigan Bori heard before he could even see his clients face. So eager. “Come on in!”

Ooh. Oooooohff. That’s…

That’s a really underdressed Fire Xweetok inside Altador Cup Headquarters.

It’s like she was just getting ready to go to beach or something. Five seconds into the room and he can already see her butt from the front — that girl looks like she’s at the BEACH.

“Sorry, sorry, it’s a long story.”

She tells you about how she managed to find temporary housing at headquarters with a bit of white lying. A few days ago she had snuck in through the back door of the building and into the room, somehow, without being detected. The next morning, she “checked-in” from the room and claimed she was sick and needed to quarantine. But what had really happened was that Heige was doing deals outside the building that… she would rather not share. Because if she told HQ what really happened, someone was surely going to get punished, and she wanted no one getting in trouble.

Oh, man, at first you thought this was going to be your first grandiose mission, the life changing golden envelope quest, the big haul, but really, this Fire Xweetok lady used you and the golden envelope to benefit her.

“I’m, just going to go. I think I have the wrong client.”

“Wait, Tenko!”

Eh? She knows my name?

She runs up to Tenko, pressing her nose against Tenko’s while Tenko furrows his brow.

“Please, I want you.” “I want you to help me out with this because I think you’re the only one who can do it. I made a mistake, I’m sorry. But I promise, I won’t give you a hard time, and I will pay you and your guild handsomely. But I understand if you do not wish to continue.” she said while rubbing her head against Tenko’s chest.

“Grr. The pay, huh?”

“Well, you truly are Altador Cup personnel. I can see it in your wristband and badge hanging on the bed. But how can you guarantee my confidentiality and rewards in this mission?”

“I will tell you after, but headquarters will know nothing of this, I guarantee it, if you follow my directions.”

“Mmm, good girl, keeping us both out of trouble. Let’s see it through.” said Tenko, rubbing his head against hers.

“So, before I get too relaxed here… what’s the mission?”

“I just need you to run to the nearest Neopian Shop to grab me some food and supplies, I’m starving here and worried about my health.”

“Second, I need to you, uh, find the guy who took my belongings and bring them back. Don’t hurt the guy or let him see your face. If you do this after the first thing, it’ll probably be sunset already. Oh, and I put a tracker on my belongings. I hope he hasn’t found out and thrown it away yet.”

(Pfft. Okay, that IS easy. Too easy.

I’m again doubting if this Xwee is serious. She’s looks so disheveled right now, but, I can’t help but understand her. After everything she’s told me, she’s probably stressed the hell out and, hopefully, is offering me and the guild a nice reward out of desperation. I’ll do it.)

“This won’t take long, I’ll do it. In fact, do you want to come along with me for the first part? You look like you could need it…”

“How are we going to do that without leaving the room? They think I’m bedridden in here!”

“Yeah, and sooner rather than later they’re going to kick you out for lying or call an ambulance if you keep faking your illness, and that benefits no one.”

“I know…”

“So hop on.”

“Whaaa~?”

Tenko whips out his Rod of Dark Nova with quite a bit of charge left, and they fly out the window like witches.

“Uhhh, I’m going to take a little detour. We’re going closer to shore. At least there it’ll look like you’re dressed for the occasion.”

“Haha, stop it you!”

An extra five minutes later, they arrive on the outskirts of Altador.

(Mmmh, Gourmet Club food on the beach… feels nice to eat with Altador Cup’s business card)

(Well that was quick. And we got the other supplies she wanted too. I can see her smile growing every minute. I’m doing good today, at least. I’m also glad we got to spend a while on the beach as well, it’s not often I get to do this, more so with a client in the middle of a job. This kind of rules…)

“Now, your bag. Can I see your phone to see its location?”

“Oh yes, sure, give me one moment, my phone is a bit slow, I have so much junk on it…”

“Here we go! It’s in, a house. Damn.”

(Ugh. If only I still had Machu on the team, I could’ve asked her to phase through the wall to get it. But even if she was still here, she’d probably object to that, even if she knew we weren’t stealing.)

“Hmm, I have a silly idea, but it is very situational. Let’s go to the house, but not get too close. And not for too long either to attract any attention.”

“What’s your idea?”

“I’ll tell you on the way there. We don’t have much time.”

It’s rush hour, so Tenko thought of a simple idea: the owner of the house simply couldn’t be home right now, right?

Well, they made it. No signs of any activity in the neighborhood, except a couple of Neopets playing with their Petpets a couple blocks away. No vehicles either. Ok. They can get closer to the house. The reading of the bag was so close to one of the windows. Is it open?

“Heige, I’m sorry, but can you try opening the window first? My claws…”

“Sure.”

Heige’s little paws barely budged the window up. It was unlocked, but she could not grip or force it up.

“Tenko, I can’t, but it is moving. Want to give it a shot?”

(Hmm, I really risk scratching the glass or even worse, shattering it. But fuck it, were here already, and I’m doing this for my client.)

The tippy of Tenko’s claw fingers hooked against the bottom of the window. For a moment, it put so much stress on his claw that it felt like it was going to chip off. But with one grunt of triumph he lifted the whole window up. Then tore the screen mesh just enough that little Heige could fit. Thank god Xweetok are one of the smallest Neopets.

Yes, she got it! And no one was home!

In, and out!

Ok, and to patch up the mesh…

“Uh, Heige?”

“Yes Tenky?”

(Oh GOD she’s already calling me that)

“Ngh… can you pull out some sand from your, you know? Clothes? You didn’t shake off all the sand from your body, right?”

“No, we didn’t shower, remember? But…”

“But you should give me some sand!”

“Okok!”

Heige gave Tenko a clump of sand. Tenko threw the sand on the torn part of the mesh, then pressed his Rod of Dark Nova against the mesh to rapidly heat and char the sand.”

Ehh. Imperfect, but it looks much better than it looking ripped open. He won’t notice it for a while.

Heige loving glomped over Tenko from behind outside the walls of the house. Ehhh?

“Heige, what are you doing? We have to go, this isn’t our house?!”

“Hehe. Come on Tenko. I know this guy’s house. He’s totally not here.”

“You didn’t tell me earlier?”

“No, I mean when I went inside the house, I saw the guy’s name on a photo on the wall. I know the guy. He’s not the guy I saw a few days ago, but he’s in their circles.”

“Also, guy has a “proud parent of an honor role student” on his screen door and his driveway has no vehicles in it, so he’s clearly away.

“Heh, well Heige, it was a good idea to bring you along after all.”

“And it looks like someone is getting a bonus when we make it back to headquarters~”

Nervous laughter as Tenko flies back to the room with Heige.

So, what was in the bag?

Most importantly, Heige’s work clothes. Smart that she took them off in advance. Better to have put them away and risk losing them versus wearing them and having them all tattered up.

Now she can check out of the building without looking like a model. Imagine showing yourself at work in a bikini instead of your usual business attire.

And the reward? 10 million NP, season pass tickets for the next Altador Cup, and free tours of the headquarters by her.

“Ehehe, thanks Heige. But Coco Metrone has already given us season pass tickets.”

“Oh wow! You know her?”

“Yes, quite a bit actually. She was one of the 7 legends that ultimately helped me and my team charge into the Citadel and revive Lord Kass…”

Heige’s eyes lit up wide like a bright orange sunset. She knew Tenko was her new go-to contractor.

“Eee! I love your work! Want to work for me again soon?”

“If I told you no would you spit fire at me?”

“If I said no to your yes would you whine and beg for me like a little Bori puppy?”

Tenko charged at Heige until they landed in the suite’s sofa. It was a done deal before they asked each other. They fell asleep for a while together, tails intertwined, until they remembered they weren’t supposed to be there. Uh oh. Well, contractor cuddle nap time will have to wait…

Surely this cute Xweetok well into her career at Altador Cup International has time to be a part-time guildmate with the cool kids as well yeah?
